Research Trends of Waste Heat Recovery Technologies: A Bibliometric Analysis from 2010 to 2020

Waste heat recovery (WHR) technologies have become vital to promote efficient operation in energy systems. The present investigation presents a bibliometric analysis of the research trends WHR field last decade (2010-2020). study implements advanced methodologies gather relevant information for interested readers on this topic. Results indicated that registered more than 14,000 articles selected timeline with an increasing tendency. Moreover, number citations escalated 25 % 2020, using 2010 as baseline. Three primary clusters stated power cycles are most cited topic field. journal “Energy” featured highest citation margin, whereas author from database was Adrian Bejan. Lastly, China is leading progress and subsequently score, which promoted by “Chinese Academy Science”. identified reduction topics 5 years might be primarily attributed transition complex concept multigeneration. In conclusion, area has maintained increased interest academia 10 while contributing exploitation cycle proposals, turbomachinery, exchangers, among others. Also, plays central role development next generation multigeneration units.
